ABOUT ME

I'm a really laid back guy, love being outdoors and enjoying nature. Open minded, always looking for new adventures to experience and new people to meet. My main loves in life are my family and friends, the ocean and surfing, and traveling(though havn't been able to do much lately). I don't know what else, I'm not so good at describing myself. You'll have to talk to me and/or come meet me to learn more!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted a lot of people on Couchsurfing at this point and have met so many great people and made so many wonderful friends. I have enjoyed spending time with all of the great people who have stayed with me and learning about their life,culture, and story. I have also enjoyed helping them experience my hometown and going on fun adventures with them all when I have been able to. Now in 2022 I am planning to travel a lot myself and look forward to staying with some great folks on my travels as a courteous and respectful guest. Cheers, and look forward to meeting and making lots of great new friends this year.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books- In Search of Captain Zero, Tom Clancy's Books, How soccer explains the world, The Pillars of The Earth, LOTR, A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Book Thief. I don't know I've read so many good books but those are a few of my favorites.
Movies-Goodwill Hunting, Almost Famous, Donnie Darko, 500 Days of Summer, Garden State, V for Vendetta eighties movies, Braveheart, Saving Private Ryan, lot of different surf vids and many more.
Music- I like a lot of different music dating back to the punk, metal and rock I grew up on. Now I listen to a lot of bands like Lord Huron, Gregory Alan Isakov, Dawes. Also a big fan of eighties bands like The Smiths.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Surfing Pavones Costa Rica during one of the best swells they had in years. Its such an incredible wave and to catch it at its best was an amazing experience. Skydiving. All of the beautiful places I've been lucky enough to see on my travels.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be happy to give surf lessons to anyone who couchsurfs at my house and would be interested in learning. I have surfed my entire life here on the Outer Banks, at University in Wilmington NC, and on my travels, and would be glad to pass on the amazing experience of riding waves to you.
There is so much I want to learn, languages for one and I always want to learn more about other countries and cultures.
