Overview
About Me
Recently graduated from undergrad in Hawaii, where I'd been living for the past four years. Being there really perked my interest in traveling, learning about other cultures, and meeting people from all over the world (Hawai'i is a huge melting pot of cultures). Love to travel, meet people, try new food, learn about different cultures and languages, and experience everything about life. I'm an adventurous, nature-loving person, and I'm always willing to explore areas that not many people see and 'get off the beaten track'.
Interested in anything that has to do with growing plants, food, foraging, old world and herbal medicine, natural energies of the earth, sustainability, forestry, agroforestry, etc... PLUS anything in outer space. You get me talking about the stars and I could go on for eons.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's a more personal and memorable way to travel and lodge. We're connected worldwide now with phones and messaging and the internet, yet we don't connect anymore on a personal, face-to-face level. Hotels and resorts serve our fast-paced attitude but lack on everything else. I want to meet and interact and learn from the people who live in these areas, who have experienced the real life there. Plus, I'm an easygoing, low-maintenance person who only really needs a thin foam pad and a blanket to sleep. I'd rather talk to people and actually get to know them than waste time, energy, money, by staying at and and stressing over hotel.
Hope to host couchsurfers in the future...wherever I decide to settle down...to pass on the kindness, hospitality, and generosity given to me.

Ran up the side of a volcano for a 50k race, from sea level to 4000ft. Most painful but most rewarding thing I've done so far.
