CURRENT MISSION

I'm writing a sci-fi trilogy, and traveling through West Africa for research.

ABOUT ME

I have been on the road 6-8 months/year for the last 5 years, and at home I work on boats as crew/maintenance. I am what people call a proper backpacker. I have had no home now for 6 years, live with all my gear out of a backpack, camp and hike, stay at hostels, often work at hostels for pay or a free bed.

PHILOSOPHY

I always say that we know what the right thing to do when we meet a challenge. They way to succeed at life is to be open, honest and generous. That simple!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to do dishes. I've been living with family and friends intermittently over the years and most say that I'm the best houseguest they've ever had. Sounds crazy, but I like to fix things and help out because it is rare for me to have a home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sleeping on couches is not new to me, but though I've been a member of Couchsurfing for several years now I have not yet needed a place to stay.
