About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To never forget we are all one and love is all there is.

ABOUT ME

I have reinvented myself many times. I am currently in the process of reinvention number 6. I married my soul mate and life partner in May of 2015 and we love to travel together. My wife is from Belgium. I work in commercial real estate development, finance and sales. I am most excited about Tiny Homes, Tiny Home Village Development, Intentional Communities, Affordable Housing and how all this is evolving on the local level in my community and abroad. As of 2015 I now travel for work and predominantly stay in business hotels but I do enjoy meeting up with locals and like to couch surf when I am traveling for pleasure.

Lifetime Travels as of January 2016: 107 countries and counting.

PHILOSOPHY

To never forget we are all one and love is all there is, everything else is an illusion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to host people in my hometown of Austin, Texas, USA when I am there. I have hundreds of friends and can connect anyone visiting with someone they can relate to and enjoy meeting for social or business purposes. I am a Glomad (Global Nomad) and student of lifestyle redesign and how to travel around the world for almost free systems and love and use both. Enjoy sharing these tools with others.

I have finished a 5 year sabbatical around the world 5 times and then 2 pole to pole experiential trips of a lifetime from June 1st, 2010 to June, 1st 2015 to over 100 countries on 7 continents. Perhaps I will meet you in your hometown or on the road less traveled. I have couch surfed in over 70 countries as of January 2016.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many great CS experiences in Asia, Australia, Eastern Europe, Russia, South America and the Middle East as well as many through friends across the US on long driving trips of 2 to 3 months in duration.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a ton of stuff. One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing and driving to the bottom of Copper Canyon in Western Mexico. Very remote and dangerous trip but amazingly beautiful. Toured 104 countries 500 cities and 1000 sacred sites on all 7 continents from June 2010 to June 2014 (48 months). Whew! Camped with cannibals in the Solomon Islands. Swam with a Giant Sea Turtle on the Great Barrier Reef. I have been to 46 of the 50 US States. Only missing Hawaii, Maine, South Dakota and North Dakota.
