About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Give back to the couchsurfing community now that I am back home in Sydney.

ABOUT ME

I am a down to earth aussie guy. Love to meet new people and form new friendships regardless of the distances or culture differences involved. I have just returned from 10 months travelling to Europe and East Timor.

If you are wondering if I would like to meet you, odds are YES! Everyone has their story to tell and I would love to hear yours.

PHILOSOPHY

What is the point of living, if you can't feel alive? Yes it was said in James Bond... but I think there is a nugget of truth in it.

I believe in Honour, Integrity, Selflessness and Compassion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My couch will always be available when I am not travelling and when I am not away for work! And if I am surfing with you then I will always be willing to give you a smile, a plush koala and countless laughs.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Opening up your home to someone is an incredibly personal decision and being able to do that says something about you as a person I feel.

I have had nothing but good experiences with it so far, and CS is a great way to get involved with people and the places you visit rather then just sightseeing. Because of CS I have tried snails at a genuine Parisian restaurant, had parties and met wonderful new friends as well as received countless memories that will last a lifetime.

Interests

Reading, Films, Flying, Computers. Naturally travel is a pretty important interest common amongst all of us here.

Learning languages is a big one, currently working on French! It is a shame that us born and bred Aussies usually only speak English.

Music, Movies, and Books

A few key favourites... Click, Batman Begins, Inglourious Basterds, The Dark Knight, The Patriot, Definately Maybe + countless others. - Muse, RHCP, Coldplay, Something for Kate, BEP, 3OH3, Linkin Park , Disturbed, Alizee (yeah i know lol) + others. - Apache, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think my first solo flight (fixed wing & helo) was one of my personal achievements that I relish. Learning to fly is one of the greatest experiences, and this is perfectly summed up in DaVinci's quote "your head will be turned forever skyward" (google it ;)

Plus, Stonehenge blew my mind :)

It is also true what they say about not having to go out and search for adventure in Paris... it will most definitely find you. One of the many reasons I am in love with the city of light.

Teach, Learn, Share

This is an awesome idea lol. I would be more then happy to provide any information on Australia, the English language, flying in general and also specifically on helicopters. I am also a great source of random facts and figures. More importantly I can teach you how to look at life in a way where the glass is always half full! Life is a gift, and I always love impacting peoples moods and views in a positive way to get them to enjoy that gift!
