ABOUT ME

I'm a welcoming person and I love telling stories.
I try to learn something from everyone, and I'm eager to learn about your travels and your country traditions, and maybe even a couple of phrases in your native language!
I consider myself an open-minded person and I love a good chat while sipping a nicely served coffee or a tasting a great beer, depending on the time of the day.
I may be shy at first, but I am easy to get along with :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a CouchSurfing host so far, with more than 50 people hosted from all continents of the world.
I also surfed a few couches, and I am willing to continue with both!

Interests

Getting to know the world, people, different cultures is what I love and a life goal.
I'm also an avid music fan and player. Currently I'm both a guitarist and drummer.
I love to do a lot of other stuff, like hanging out with friends, parties, geocaching, cinema, football, tennis, ping-pong, skiing and so on.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Inception, Gran Torino, Dark Knight, Prestige, Shutter Island, the Star Wars and Lord of the Rings series.
Music: I'm a huge fan of metal (heavy / thrash / progressive / death) and generally musically complex songs, although I listen to a lot of different music types.
Books: The Diary of Anne Frank; Gödel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid; the Lord of the Rings trilogy; a variety of comic books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw the Northern Lights in Tromsø, Norway.

A very busy one-month Interrail in 2011. 14 countries, 30 cities and more than 30 bus and train rides around central and eastern Europe!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: my language, some nice facts of Portugal history I can remember, guitar, basic drumming patterns.

Willing to learn: something about your country and phrases in your native language, any instrument, typical cooking recipes from where you come from, random trivia!

I can share: travel experiences and photos, national dishes (I can cook a few).
