Overview
About Me
My name is Dong, and I'm an enthusiastic traveller aiming to experience new cultures, meeting new people, and creating unforgettable memories.
As the Stoic philosopher Seneca said, "Onus animi deponendum est: non ante tibi ullus placebit locus," which means "You must lay down the burden of the mind: no place will ever please you before that." I believe that travel is not just about visiting new places, but also about letting go of our worries and immersing ourselves in the present moment. With this mindset, I try to enbrace every travel as a small adventure with an open heart and a curious spirit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that truly living and experiencing a place requires connecting with locals, understanding their worries and hopes. This is something that is difficult to achieve from the perspective of a tourist staying in a hotel. Couchsurfing offers the opportunity to connect with local people as soon as you arrive, and this is what encourages me to travel alone.
