About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My frustrated desires are welling up, taking me to task. To do what! To find out what, first of all...
ABOUT ME
Oh boy! Me!
Despite my city-living, post-secondary education ways, I have a deep yearning for a more rural, small-town life. Read the book "Made From Scratch". Mainly elements of that, I think. Plus lots of hiking. I've lived here (the Midwest) all my life, by my parents are from the Rockies. That means that almost all of our family vacations have been to the Western US, and it also means I've experienced enough of that part of the country to miss it terribly. I'm here for now to get myself through school and become certified. Then, I believe it is westward-bound for me. Hopefully.
PHILOSOPHY
I think knowledge is one of the most important things in life. If you're not constantly learning, aren't you sort of wasting your time?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm sort of new to this, but I am gladly opening my couch up to others. I'm pretty sure if I host any surfers, I am totally going to bake them something.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a few surfers thus far, with a few more slated for the near future.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't watch nearly as many movies as I'd like. With books and movies, though, there's almost nothing I won't give a chance. I'm more of a fiction guy, though. And I suppose more of a lo-fi, indie/sleepy folk music guy? Is that a genre?
I suppose I can throw out some names here:
Music: Shearwater, Midlake
Books: James Thurber, Italo Calvino
And a very large ETC after those.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach knitting, I guess. Just basic stitches and techniques, maybe how to use a circular or double-sided needle to make gloves and hats and stuff.
