About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking for a new project to invest my time in.

ABOUT ME

Carpathian vampire masquerading as a historian and archaeologist. Spent many moons in several places around the globe drinking blood and hiding from garlic and peasants wielding pitchforks and torches.
Currently looking to relocate my coffin and henchman back to Asia or the New World. Tried the London area, but my feeding habits made a certain doctor jumpy and he chased me out with a pointy stick and holly water.

PHILOSOPHY

Floss after every bite and too many virgins a day brings Van Helsing at your door, one day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Current living arrangement prevent me from hosting ppl, but I am pretty knowledgeable about the interesting archaeological/historical sites in the larger area of Transylvania and how to move about the region. If you need advice I can put you in the right direction.
I you get in touch I'll show you around town, no problem.

Interests

Trekking, Backpacking, Photography, Archaeology, Debating, being with friends, good wine (not necessarily in this order).

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything Haruki Murakami, talking about how high Slavoj Žižek is when he develops his ideas. DC comics, a tad of Marvel.... Dark Horse.... Archaeology and complaining about post-processual bullshit ;) (if you know what I mean!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Archaeology and underwater archaeology. Need I say more?

Fine... How about this: I sailed a viking ship from Norway to Liverpool in the United Kingdom and survived seasickness and losing the mast off of Orkney.

I also drank a 70 y.o. scotch and a century old wine.

Dated a german girl and lived to tell the tale. :D:D:D

Teach, Learn, Share

There's a right way and a wrong way to put or rings in a breathing assembly... who knew...
Ppl with really nice cars don't take hitchhikers as a rule of thumb, neither do women. Always have a friend in logistics management, the more countries he's responsible for, the better connections you can get with international transportation trucks.
Truckers are scary, but really cool ppl and they always take hitchhikers!
If you need to hitch a car, write on a piece of paper where you need to go. Make sure the drivers can see the writing. "Working ladies/men" know where the best hitchhiking places are.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you get me started on archaeology and cultural heritage, I can talk for days. BE CAREFUL!
Go with me in a museum at your own risk... If you do, abandon all hope for anything else.
Keep me away from the historical areas of your city/village.
I'm a chill guy that likes what he does with a passion and like all good archaeologists I can hold my drinks, do I never go out of my way to prove it.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Norway, Romania, South Korea, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

China, Denmark, Romania, South Korea
