About Me

CURRENT MISSION

find the best root beer in the world.

ABOUT ME

Hey Couchsurfers! I'm a newcomer to the Northwest, looking for community in Portland, Ore. I'm a student of journalism, spirituality, and service to others. I'm creative, optimistic, and loyal.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to live in the future - I want to spend my lifetime experiencing the radical extremes of service to others. I am inconstant and moody, like the Moon. I'm a little fearless, and honest and dependable like the Sun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Travel is a tool for finding my destiny, and hosting is a tool for finding my roots.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My roadtrips would not be possible without CS. My loops through the Midwest and the Northwest introduced me to some great contacts, like Robert in Kansas City, or Jeff in Missoula. Now that I relinquished my car, my CS community is more important than ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A group of friends in Prague, Czech Republic held a Thanksgiving dinner in my honor when I was studying there and couldn't go home. I only had to bring the pumpkin pie (which was completely foreign to them)! In the end, though, they said they wanted to have Thanksgiving because they saw how much fun it was on the TV show "Friends."
