About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Get out there.

ABOUT ME

Average height with a slender build. I've got some brown hair which is usually in disarray. Beard on my face.

PHILOSOPHY

Tell the truth (you won't have to remember what you said yesterday).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meet and greet, try to host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not a ton, but it's all been good so far. You people are awesome! Once a guy from France came to my town in Canada to see his son play a show. That was probably the coolest thing I've seen from the CS.

Interests

Hiking, climbing, frisbee, snowboarding, rollerblading, soccer;
any other sport.
Beer and wine, bread and cheese are OK too.
School is fun, I work in a think tank.
Taking photographs is pretty fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've read some Hemingway; lots of Canadians, Davies especially, a sarcastic old fogie; The Road by Cormac McCarthy was amazing; I'm into thoughtful essays and subscribe to the New York Times.
Got into funk and soul recently, Daptone Records is amazing; indie Canadians have a lot to offer: Jon-Rae Fletcher, Al Tuck, Joel Plaskett, Young Rival, The Wooden Sky. Live music is almost always good. I love talk radio: This American Life, The Sunday Edition, As It Happens, Wire Tap - public broadcasting goodies.
For some reason I almost never watch moving pictures, but I'm not against them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The North Rim Traverse in Gros Morne Ntl park. One of the best hiking experiences ever. Hiking in Crete may have topped it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Put a few turns of duct tape around your water bottle..you never know when an inch will save your life.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, France, Greece, Italy, Japan, United States
