ABOUT ME

After I graduated college I took some time to figure out what my life dreams were, and while meandering along that path stumbled on working at a restaurant and a toy store. I loved seeing the smiling faces of the kids at the toy store, but I felt drawn back to biology and I now work in a lab. I am planning to visit Vietnam this summer and participate in a 2-month public health volunteer project and follow that up with 2 years (or more) of graduate school.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't think I can be truly happy unless I am working toward improving the world. My current plan to achieve that goal is to get a Master's in Public Health and apply what I learn toward the prevention of infectious diseases.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to CS but hoping to meet some new people during my travels! I live with my parents and younger sister right now, so I can't really offer a couch to sleep on at this point, but I'd be happy to meet up for coffee or to show you around! Once I settle down next fall I would love to host people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went black water rafting in a cave in New Zealand and got to see glow worms, just like those in Sir David Attenborough's wonderful series Planet Earth, up close and personal.
