Exploring the country
ABOUT ME
Right now I'm travelling the country with my partner. We bought an old car and have just finished travelling from our place in Philly to San Francisco, and in a few weeks will prob be heading back the other way. We've been mostly camping out or sleeping in the car, so we're excited for some indoor living for a while.
PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like the idea of a more open, free, and connected world. Couch Surfing seems like it works towards that same goal. Hopefully soon I'll have a place of my own to share, but in the meantime I'm just bumming around on other peoples' couches.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Met one dude who was passing through Philly a while back, kind of neglected my account on here since then but looking forward to getting involved now. :)
Interests
I try really hard to always do things because I want to do them, rather than because I don't not want to do them. I've been living like this for a couple years now and it keeps me moving from one interesting thing to another. I love learning and coming to new levels of understanding, and growing to see that things I once considered impossible are actually very possible, if you want them bad enough.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books (most important part of this section for me): Ishmael, Brave New World, The Fountainhead, Be Here Now, Bread and Wine, Crime and Punishment, Oryx and Crake, The Catcher in the Rye, Ghostwritten, Cloud Atlas, 1984, Brave New World, Forbidden History, Letters to a Young Poet
Movies: Network, The Matrix, the Devil's Advocate, Altered States, South Park, Brazil, Kill Bill, V for Vendetta, Casablanca, Gladiator, Moulin Rouge, American Beauty, Boondock Saints, They Live, Batman (Begins and Dark Knight), Home
Music: A lot, and always looking for more. Lately it's been Flobots, Dr. Dog, Regina Spektor, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Beirut, Bright Eyes, Brand New, 嘎调 (The Gar), the Strokes, Panic! at the Disco, and a lot of Muse.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In just this past trip my partner and I stood at the edge of an old stone pier jutting out into lake michigan late at night, with waves crashing into us on all three sides and the moon and stars overhead. It was literally magical.
Actually, the whole trip's been one of the most amazing things I've done. So many beautiful place sin this country, and the almost miraculous way all three of our minor car breakdowns were fixed definitely left me struck with awe, to say the least.
Teach, Learn, Share
This section is awesome. I need to think about what I'll put here.
