Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The couchsurfing project is truly a gift for someone like myself. I've never met a person associated with cs that I could say something negative about. Moreover, I've never even read a bad profile. I hope that this project might be the proverbial kick in the shorts our society needs for rejuvenation. If not, they're missing out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

merely hosting couchsurfers has offered me a richer, more authentic cultural experience than most can garner from an actual trip. All these great places don't exist if you're looking at them through the window of a Hilton.

Interests

movies, literature, information, beer, wine, humor, the English language, searching for the unique and inspiring, the quest for the perfect night, topspin forehands and slice backhands, literal metaphors, the balance around us, speaking in obscurities...

Music, Movies, and Books

I like...

The Sun Also Rises; On The Road; A Confederacy of Dunces; Lolita; American Psycho; A Farewell to Arms

Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been; Hills Like White Elephants; The Snows of Kilimanjaro; Until Gwen; The Doors of Perception; A&P

The Beatles; Amy Winehouse; Neil Young; A Tribe Called Quest; Jazz

"The Shawshank Redemption" has an air-tight script that is flawlessly executed, "Lost in Translation" reminds me that we're not indebted to society by our talents. "Pulp Fiction" is a cool ass movie with an original take on Americana; "Mystic River" has characters as solid as any I've seen (I'm naming my son James Marcum); and I want "True Romance"/"Natural Born Killers"-type love...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
