About Me

I love traveling (as I’m sure we all do on here). My dream is to do a cross-country road trip across America. Some of my favorite things are:
- Experiencing new cultures and sharing my experiences
- Maps! (I love maps)
- Being a tourist anywhere, anytime
- Finding hidden gems
- Photography
- Exploring cities
- Urbanism and public transit
- Hiking in new parts of the country

More about me:
- I do nonprofit development. It’s a great job, and remote—so I might be in your area on a trip that includes some remote work.
- I grew up in Connecticut, went to school in Philadelphia, and have since lived in Buffalo, Detroit, and Chicago.
- I am a singer and do theatre, both recreationally.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like new people and learning about how people in the areas I visit actually live. I think the concept of staying with a kind stranger in a new place is so cool.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music—I have a music degree! I also enjoy live music and theatre (both performing and watching). Favorite artists include Lady Gaga, Sammy Rae & the Friends, Beyoncé, Janelle Monáe, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Khurangbin, Hozier, Yebba.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a “clam chowder log” in Maine, where I had a cup of New England Clam Chowder (my favorite food) everywhere I went. Best: the Oar House in Portsmouth, NH (is that cheating?), worst: some beachside shack that put some clams in a cup of melted butter and called it chowder.

Canada, Portugal, United Kingdom
