ABOUT ME

I studied languages at university so I have spent a lot of time travelling a living in Central Europe and Russia over the last few years. I spent half a year living in Olomouc, which was amazing! I've just come home from 5 months in Moscow.
I really enjoy being in new places and especially learning the language, meeting everyone! I feel that learning at least a little bit of the local language is the best way to show that you respect a culture and are interested in it. Also, it opens a lot of doors and you get to do lots of cool things!
Anyway, enough of the serious stuff...
...can also offer a bit of dry english wit...like to cook...talk about most things

...and when I'm not doing that, I love playing and watching sport.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm spending a year away from university so I'm using CS more to meet new people in new towns. I would like to try hosting when I'm back home. At the very least, I'd love to be able to meet people and show them around. So far this year, I've been amazed at how hospitable people are, and it's something I'd really like to take on board too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Still a bit of a beginner, but I've met a good group of people in Olomouc and Moscow through CS.

兴趣

Sports-especially cricket and rugby, but I'll happily play anything and watch most things. Sometimes sports takes over my life, but at other times it helps keep me sane!
Music-I play the piano when I'm at home. I'm not the greatest musician, it's something I find very relaxing and possibly the best place to sit and think.
Pubs-as with a lot of people, I don't mind the odd drink or two...and it's even better with company

Taking part in a Moravian village's 'Piggy Boat' race (like Dragon boat, but with pigs!)
Playing in a snow rugby tournament in Russia when it was -22 degrees!
