About Me
General Info:
Hi, my name is Jeahee Youn. You can call me Jane. I just graduated my undergraduate year in University of California, Berkeley this May. I was majoring in Economics. I'm still living around the campus to get a job around here before I go back to my Country, Korea.
Personality:
For most of my life, I was the type of person who stayed in her comfort zone, not daring to step out of it. Eventually, I realized that the status quo wasn’t enough anymore. Thus, I ventured out of all that I was familiar and decided to live in America. Since then, I've tried to come out from my comfort zone by meeting many people and doing activities other than studying. Here, I found numerous opportunities to challenge myself and to become more active. Such my efforts have made me be open-minded and well-adjusted person and be active.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was always interested in learning and understanding people from different culture and background. But then I saw some pictures of my friend in Facebook. Her picture shows she is doing 'Couchsurfing' during her short trip and looks having really great time with people she met there. That draws my interest on Couchsurfing and I think it is my turn to be here.
Interests
As I mentioned above, I am interested in seeing how people with different background live in their culture and feeling how it relates to me.
Most of my leisure time, I listen to music, watching movie or hanging out with friends.
I also like cooking, but only good on some sort of Korean food. But I can eat every kinds of foods.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have lots of different genre of musics and singers in my mind. I love listening to music with fast and rhythmic beat such as Beyonce and Ariana Grande, but also like soft music like Christina Perri, James Mraz and Sam Smith as well.
The most impressive movie I watched recently is fast-furious 5. The last scene of the movie haunts me and I still can feel the moment I watch it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Canada is my first destination to where I traveled alone. From there, I met lots of different people and had conversation with them. Through the conversation, I could not only listen to their story but also find what kind of person I am. It sounds nothing to someone who already had this kind of things a lot, but, at least for me, it was amazing when I realized that I can travel alone.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some knowledge of Korean culture and can make some Korean food.
I also can teach Korean if they want. Thus I can share everything related to Korea!
I do wanna share personal view or value on their current and future life which is my main interest these days. I need someone having conversation with.
