Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To cycle from Vancouver to the Mexican border, down America's west coast.
ABOUT ME
I'm into cooking, comedy, art, photography, writing and sculpture. I'm a bit of a hippy, without the dreadlocks, and an environmentalist without the rhetoric. I'm mostly a vegetarian.
I work as a designer and photographer, and volunteer for Friends of the Earth.
PHILOSOPHY
I'd love to die and leave the world better than it would otherwise have been, had I not come into it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just hosting and surfing, as well as local meets. I also designed the current couch surfing postcard!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I think travelling should be about meeting people, so CS really fits into my world. I've done a bit of couchsurfing in the US, and also in Iceland, but most of my experience has been as a host.
Couchsurfing has been a long tradition at the house where I live, but now I have my own profile.
Interests
I'm into cooking, cycling, travelling, talking and art. I'd also really like to learn Spanish but I'm getting round to that one. Oh yeah, and photography.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like mostly non-fiction, things like The Selfish Gene. Breaking that rule, Neil Stephenson and classic sci-fi like War of the worlds and 2001. Anything that makes you think.
Music, I'm the usual 'I like a bit of everything', from Gogol Bordello, to Sigur Ros, To Snoop Dogg, to Misty's Big Adventure, to Regina Spektor, Patrick Wolf, Muse, Pendulum, The Arcade Fire, Alloy Mental, Wolf Parade, Penguin Cafe Orchestra, The Mars Volta, The Go! Team, Modest Mouse, Girl Talk, Beastie Boys... you get the idea, if it's good and it's not trashy pop I like it.
Movies I'm generally happy with most things from arthouse to blockbusters, although I do have a soft spot for Simon Pegg.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've cycled 4,200 miles across America, whilst sustaining only two punctures.
Countries I’ve Visited
France, Germany, India, Ireland, Mexico, Morocco, Spain, United States
Countries I’ve Lived In
