About Me

I am a college student who loves to travel and meet new people. I haven't used couchsurfing yet but I'm hopeful that I'll have some great experiences from it.

I am an outgoing person who loves to have fun.

PHILOSOPHY
I think that everyone has something to teach simply by virtue of having lived. I love interacting with new people and hearing their stories. I think that the most important thing in life is building lasting relationships.

If I had to describe myself in one word, I would say I am enthusiastic. I love life. I love to learn. And I would love to broaden my horizons.

I am not just looking for another stamp on my passport or another pin on my map. I want to have fun experiences with new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing because I believe it is a good platform to meet new people in new places. I want to learn about the different lives that others lead.

There is no better way to experience a new city than to live with a local.

Interests

I love to learn. I love reading about business, psychology, and funny non fiction essays. Besides books, I think people can learn the most from one another. I love meeting new people. Everyone has something to teach and share

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
I completely adore Shakira and all she has to offer. (Even her more rock inspired older songs) I love Spanish music, I think it's tone and rhythm captures what it truly means to truly live. It's lively, fun, passionate, and alive. Besides that though, I love motown. (Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, Commodores, Edwin Starr, etc) I am the kind of person who'll recognize the lyrics and the jingle but have no idea what it's called or who it was written by.

Movies
Comedy is my favorite genre but above all, I love superhero movies; they offer the perfect escape. I like things that make people laugh and offer all the best aspects of life.

Books
My favorite book has to be Tolstoy's Death of Ivan Ilych. It perfectly captures what's truly important in life: living authentically and compassionately. Status, money, and power are not the keys to a fulfilled life. I want to live helping people and connecting with others.

My favorite genre would have to be nonfiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I helped codevelop a program to teach lower income high school juniors Pre SAT material to increase scores and their chances for better college admission and scholarships. I love that I am able to make such a difference in my mentees lives.
