Overview
About Me
I'm a mom of 2 beautiful daughters, one in Kindergarten and one in first grade. I grudgingly went back to work when my girls started full time school and have been working two jobs. I spend a couple days/nights a week working as a caregiver for three men with developmental disabilities living under a self determination lifestyle. I also work as a parent liaison for our local Great Start Collaborative, providing support, education, and resources for families with young children. I love to cook, garden, be outside, read, work, and spend time with friends and community gatherings. My husband is a public school science teacher who is interested in beer, gardening, books, and being outside.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have not yet hosted or traveled as a couch surfer. I am fairly shy and would like to try visiting with locals and learning a bit more about where I am staying. I would also like to provide a host bedroom for travelers, opening up my world and bringing more culture and ideas to my children.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love my local music scene in Michigan. Dan Kahn and the Painted Bird, Breathe Owl Breathe, May Erlewine, Red Sea Pedestrians. I also love Imagine Dragons. Who doesn't??
I haven't watched a movie in ages.
I like short stories and essays, these days I don't seem to be making enough time for reading.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Nothing amazing, truly. But my favorite is the birthing of my two daughters.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn all things!! Different perspectives, different ideas, different topics than I am used to are invigorating.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am more than happy to help clean up, cook, take care of things while I am visiting.
