About Me
Hello!! My name is Jean, I'm Brazilian, from São Paulo (yes yes, biiiig city guy! haha) but I live in Sweden now, where I study my master degree!!
I've moved to Sweden last year when I was accepted to do my master in Architecture with focus on Sustainable Urban Design, and I'm completely passionate about that. It's so interesting to travel to a new place and get completely lost in the streets, only being carried by the city design and its public spaces! Love to spend time outside just observing how beautiful urban spaces can be and how people use it!
It's the first time that I'm leaving in Europe, so during last year, I've been travelling around and oh gosh! how amazing people I've met and astonishing places I've seen!! Despite all the cold weather (which is something really new for me, and I'm still figuring out if I love or hate it, haha), the Scandinavian countries are absolutely amazing. Natural landscapes that take out your breath, super well-desined cities and interesting people! I'm really glad to have such experience abroad and can't wait to visit more places around the world. And despite Brazil, Sweden also has a special place in my heart =)
Back in Brazil, I used to split my time between my work, a volunteer activity (will add more to that later), sports (I'm really into that!) and loads of fun with friends and family! I'm really a life lover and I've always tried to appreciate the exclusiveness of each moment.
As a professional, I've been working as an Architect for a quite long time now (by the way, if you need an architect just let me know haha), but I also had the opportunity to do a volunteer activity that involves using architecture to restore public buildings in peripherical areas, such as schools and hospitals, for the community involved. It was a very important and special experience for me =)
I'm very very into sports, especially the ones that involve nature! Hiking, climbing, camping in the mountains and so on! I've even tried to camp in a -34c temperature once! haha I'll explain more about it later!
So, to sum up, I love travelling to meet people and new places, and this time here in Europe has been really special for me. All the places I've visited and people I've met now makes part of me and I'll definitely carry them in my heart forever. So now I'm a traveller and a discover addicted, and can't wait up until next time I'll have my backpack on again and a road to catch up! =))

Music, Movies, and Books
Such a difficult question!!! But let's try to resume everything!
Starting with movies, I love dense and classic movies, such as Godfather, Fight Club and Pulp Fiction. It doesn't necessarily mean that I'm an expert in movies, but I really like to be carried by the characters and their stories, and how everything is connected to the ending! I think that "Taxi Driver" is overrated (yes yes, I know, polemic! But please don't hate me because of that haha), and can't describe my feeling for "Scarface", such a masterpiece! I could go on for hours in this topic but maybe here is not the case haha.
I also like movies just for entertainment, like superhero movies, comedies and some series. on this topic, it's important to add that I'm a "How I met your mother" lover! hahahah. I also could spend hours discussing a Black Mirror episode or different methods to defeat Thanos haha.
When it comes to reading, I like dystopian books like Brave New World and 1984. It's so interesting to discuss ideas of how our future could be! Really like to read Bukowski, his funny and irreverent stories are such good entertainment! and just for fun I really like to read Dan Brown books. But regardless of all this content, last year I've spent most of my reading time with architecture and urbanism topics, both for my master and because of I simply love it!
And last but not least, I definitely love electronic, some rock, jazz and popular Brazilian music!! I've been to a lot of music festivals and music is really the art of transmitting feelings through sounds! I often get carried by good music and its power to touch our heart! Can't imagine a life without it! haha, Of course, I'm open to discovering new things, but if you want to see me happy, let's go to a music festival hahah
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Well, very difficult to point out just 1 thing! Not that I've done thousands of super incredible things in my life, but I believe that every expéirnce has something special and remarkable. With that said, I think I'll stick to the most recent one!
Last winter (2018) I've been hiking around Swedish and Finnish Lapland, under an amazing sky full of stars! So, while I was in Finland, I've decided to visit place beyond the polar circle, and that's how I ended up in Rovaniemi and other villages and cities around! Well, once I was there I've decided to spend 1-night camping on a frozen lake, under one of the most beautiful sky I've ever seen in my life. The only detail is that the outside temperature was -34c degrees Celcius, and I'm reeeeally never could imagined how it feels like! haha
Well, I can say that night was a life-change experience hahaha. First I never imagined myself travelling through such fantastic landscapes. Second, I never imagined how cold -34 could be so f** cold hahaha! Buuut I managed to survive and it was quite fun actually. Such a bright sky, full of stars and constellations! Absolutely gorgeous! Buuut for now on I'd prefer to camp on positive temperatures. hahaha

I can help with some Portuguese or architecture and urbanism stuff! But I'd love to learn more about the people and the places I'm visiting!
