About Me
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Dear surfers, due to my busy working schedule, I'm always working on weekday daytime, and usually some hours on the weekends too, so my time to host surfers are very limited. If i have to say no to your request, please don't be sad cuz i'm sure there are plenty of other good hosts; if i accept your request, be prepared that upon your arrival, i can let you in and settle your luggage before 8 am and after 6 pm on weekdays XD
ABOUT ME
Born in the central part of Taiwan, my first language is Taiwanese, and I'm proud of my heritage. Though I'm proud that I can speak better Taiwanese than Chinese, I love to leave my town and to regard the world as my "hometown." I was an exchange student in Pontiac, Illinois for a year, got to explore many states in the U.S., and found life-long families there. Recent few years Nepal and the Philippines are other places I've fallen in love with. I take volunteers groups to teach children in rural areas during winter/summer break. The smiles of those kids and the super friendly villagers are why I keep going there. I've done my college exchange in the Netherlands, also one of the best times in my life. Since the world has so many to offer, I try my best to partake in any exciting opportunity life presents me whenever I have time. And currently I'm working in the cruise industry while tutoring kids English and showing tourists around Taipei City as a tour guide.
I love being adventurous, definitely enjoy whatever is local(food, place, activities...) while visiting a new place and love interacting with people to learn about their cultures or languages.
I'm pretty easy-going and open-minded. Always looking for new friends, so befriend me ;)
PHILOSOPHY
"When the sun comes up, you'd better be running."--Joachim Posada

Interests
Hanging out with family and friends is for sure my all-time favorite. I love reading a lot, no matter if it's general fiction, educational, or other kinds. I enjoy being fascinated by the overwhelming power of written words. I also watch tv programs about traveling and cooking, comedy shows, and crime investigation related shows. Aside from being indoor, I like traveling. Venturing into any unknown areas by biking or walking is one of the things I do a lot. And I love singing and dancing.
only been to one paintball game, but I'm 100% sure that I love the game. So please, if there's a paintball game held anytime, do count me in and I'll appreciate it A LOT!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent three days playing with a super duper shy Nepali boy who wouldn't even face me at the very beginning; by the time I had to leave Nepal, He waved me goodbye with the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. I felt my life was all worth it at that very moment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I saw hundreds of dolphins jumping out of the ocean with the fierce orange sunset scene as the backdrop on a cruise in the Caribbean.
Teach, Learn, Share
Linguistics and languages are something I enjoy talking with people about. I spent the past 4 years doing volunteer works in Nepal and the Philippines on and off, so I have a lot of those stories to share. Currently I'm a walking tour guide in Taipei so I definitely has stories to tell about this hidden gem. I also like to cook whenever I have a chance, so if you're my host, you're getting some meals from me :) (and I certainly do the dishes as well) but most of time I enjoy being a listener and just learn from other people's experiences.
