Hi everyone, my name is J-C. I'm a civil enginner and I live near Montreal in Canada. I like to meet new people and discover new cities. My first language is French but I also speak English and I try to learn Russian.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travelled a lot in Europe during winter 2013 while I was studying in Strasbourg, France. When I came back to Quebec, I hosted a few people in my hometown Lac-Mégantic.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kind of music. I played guitar in punk rock/alternative rock/hard rock bands. I also like country, blues, jazz, metal and even classical. In fact, my favorite piece is 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky because it can translate all the history about the 1812 war between the French and Russian in 16 minutes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Sleep outside during the winter in Canada at -15C
-Sleep on Juno Beach, Normandy on the June 5th to 6th and be on the beach at the exact time when the Canadians landed on June 6th 1944 to liberate Europe

Teach, Learn, Share

I like history, especially about 20th century and wars. I like to teach history to someone about his own country.
I also like finance, investments, stock market. I'm doing a part-time MBA.
And of course I like buildings since this is my work.
