My partner and I have been traveling since he retired from the US Army. He was born in Costa Rica and hoped to move back, but after selling or donating almost everything we owned, we discovered it is just too expensive! So we headed to Nicaragua. We love it, just not for a permanent stay. Our "home" is wherever we happen to be at that point. We have our kids and g-babies spread out in the States, but it's also expensive. We are not into cold weather, either! We've been traveling sinceJuly 4, 2015.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love meeting new friends all across the world and if we're not planning to stay long in a city, it's hard to justify spending that kind of money to sleep and shower! Hopefully this works out better.

Music, Movies, and Books

All favorites depend on the mood. If we're headed out dancing or entertaining at home, cleaning, going for an adrenaline-fueling adventure, it's typically a little faster, classic rock or hard rock. Sometimes we even get weird and turn on the 80s hair bands or switch it up with some upbeat country music to dance to. Winding down could call for some calm, country music or, wait for it, Josh Groban! As far as books and movies, I prefer comedies. There's too much drama already. Why create more?
