I'm a french film-critic and filmmaker. I live between Paris and Los Angeles.
I write for a weekly cultural magazine called Les Inrocks, and I've directed several short films and a documentary (about the filmmaker Judd Apatow). I'm currently writing a script for a feature film, and still working as a film critic on the side.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I discovered Couchsurfing a while ago (in 2005) and immediately loved the philosophy behind it : being able to meet people while visiting a city, to travel with a small budget, and to help people discover my city. I haven't used it for several years, and now I'm back.

Cinema is obviously a huge part of my life, but I'm also interested in music (rock, hip-hop, electro mostly), physics, surf, whisky...

Movies : I'm a movie buff, since watching movies is also my profession. My favourite directors are Apichatpong Weerasethakul, Michael Mann, Steven Spielberg, David Lynch, David Cronenberg, Hou Hsiao Hsien, Yasujiro Ozu, Michelangelo Antonioni, Eric Rohmer, Judd Apatow, Howard Hawks... I am mostly interested in american and asian cinema. And I am a specialist in American comedies.

Books : i read many graphic novels (Chris Ware, Charles Burns, Daniel Clowes...) and essays, more that novels.
