About Me

Hello!

My name is Jeanna. Pronounced "Gina"

I come from Missoula, Montana origninally. Grew up in the foothills of California. A small, but loving community of people, in Clovis, Ca. It was there that I learned the importance of a hard days work. My family raised dogs. Labradors, Rottweillers, and German Shorthaired Pointers. Aside from that we raised our own beef, and my Grandpa grew just about every kind of fruit or vegetable you could want. I'm comfortable outside. To say I have a love for Animals would be the understatement of a lifetime. I have a connection wth nature and I'd like to find work outside in the elements.

I've been working on developing relationships with my family these past few years, and while it has been utterly amazing....I find myself here in a very odd place emotionally. I left home so long ago so breathless, and in need of....something. I kind of just floated around until I decided to give my life some direction by seeking out my birth parents. It was overwhelming on a soul deep level to have them back in my life, to dicover I had siblings, and well...a rather LARGE family on both sides. I even discovered I am a McFarland. Ragdale is my adopted name, haven't changed it yet. my point is that I have yet to, ever...give myself the time I need to just........CATCH UP with my life. With all the changes, the good, the bad, the necessary. I need to break away. I am overstimulated to the enth degree, I need space, time, solitude and adventure. I need to live for me. This is my gift to myself for the year 2017. Long overdue. Let the adventure begin...

I came to montana after being reunited with my birth family after 26 years. Thats right, 26 years. Can you believe that!? Cause its been 8 years now and even I have a hard time believing it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Before I start - I do have a therapy dog named Bear. He must travel with me. He has his own bed and is a senior gentleman. I call him "The Beardog"......he loves it. He rides well in a vehicle, is great about going potty outside and lives for snuggles. He howsl a bit, but only upon greeting or getting excited.

Aside from that, I'm about to begin what I hope to be about a year long adventure through Montana, Oregan, and Washingotn to begin with. Wherever I go from there, well we shall see. I'm open. I'm in need of some adventure, some solitude, healing and life living...

Hosts that would be willing to discuss long term stay for up to one month in exchange for work, please do let me know. I can cook, clean, dog/house sit. I'm handy outside with yard work...the back bending stuff no one likes to do...haha I can be of help in the kitchen, as I love to cook. Or, I can do your dishes, if that suits you. I'm out to help as much as I am seeking the help and kindness of others.

I look forward to meeting some amazing people, learning from the experiences this will bring, and seeing a little bit more of this beautiful earth we get to call home.

I am a writer, and a photographer and I plan to document this trip as a part of a book I am writing about my life and the Journey to this point. So far, it doesn't have a tittle. Keep y'all posted.
