Helloooo,

I'm a French girl of 25 yo, very freshly done with my studies. I had the great chance to travel quite a bit in the past, mostly through Europe and South-East Asia and I am always eager to discover new places, new cultures and meet new people.

From mid-September to mid-December, we are going with a close friend of mine on a 3-month road trip around the USA. My partner in crime, Basile, is a nice and funny boy ; being too passionate about music is probably his defining trait and he has been wanting to go to US' biggest rock spots for years now.

For now, we only have our Paris-New York and back tickets and are soooo excited about all the cool things this country has to offer.

We are social butterflies used to using Couchsurfing or other apps when traveling, whether it is to surf or to meet people for a drink or food. I believe there is truly no better way to get a sense of a town or a region than hanging out and staying with locals so we hope to have the occasion to use Couchsurfing on this trip.

We are really excited to discover brand new cities and regions, we hope to meet locals who can show us the hidden gems and underground bars that make every city a real one.
We are always down for an interesting conversation or a good laugh. We are as well decent cooks and will happily make you discover some of the wonders of French cuisine if you are up for that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I will always say Mommy by Xavier Dolan for favorite movie I think but recently I was hypnotized by the movie Columbus directed by Kogonada and am now considering passing by the city of Columbus even though everyone tells me I should pass haha.
In books, I've been getting into French classics lately: Madame Bovary, Balzac, etc. I also really love Sally Rooney novels (and their TV adaptation)!
As for music, I honestly listen to all type of music and am always willing to discover some new artist or song.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a 1-month trip across Europe with my best friend during a summer when we were 18 and it was such a rich experience! It was our first time going on a foreign trip without parents and we discovered dozens of European cities and always stayed with Couchsurfing hosts and met incredible people, some of which we are still in contact with. Fun fact is: in Venice, we couldn't find any host and housing so late was really out of budget so we decided to spend 2 nights in the ....airport (it was actually very very fun and almost felt like home at the end haha).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I speak French and I'd be happy to teach if hosts are interested. In the same sense, I know a bit of French cuisine that I'll be happy to make and share.

I love board games and am always down for playing a fun game. I, as well, recently fell in love with chess and I'm always happy to play!

I keep from childhood a fascination for Greek mythology so I know quite a bit in this area as well haha.
