About Me

I am a 23 year old graduate from American University, born and raised in New Jersey. I laugh a lot, love stories, art, and other forms of expression. Interested in social justice, animals, political ecologies, Latin America, friendship, exploring/adventuring, gardening, cooking, and art & crafting. I have two dogs and a hermit crab, one of which is terrified of humans (surprisingly, it's not the hermit crab).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am willing to host! I am looking to be hosted! I have hosted various couchsurfers through my previous housemate, and they were all awesome. Why spend money on a hotel when there are generous and interesting people all over the world?

I lived in different parts of México for five months this past year and met lots of great people through this website, not just hosts, but people to hang out with as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - the "Jeannette" playlist on Spotify
(indie, folk, funk, heavy blues, some high life, some hip hop, instrumentals, rock, most everything)
Movies - Everything by Iñárritu. And I've watched Spring Breakers 8 times...
Books - Currently reading Infinite Jest. Stories by AM Holmes. Eduardo Galeano. Jonathan Safran Foer. Harper Lee. I am always down to talk about Harry Potter.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have hiked through the Chilean side of Patagonia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love cooking with others more than anything, and I am a pretty decent vegetarian chef. Let's cook! Let's finger paint or play soccer and talk about the state of the world and when to start the revolution jeje.

What I Can Share with Hosts

See above. I can also share a friendly, laid back and open spirit, and the energy to teach and be taught.

Countries I’ve Visited
