Overview
About Me
Hi I'm Jeannine, a student of Archaeology and Anthropology of the Americas:) I'm studying and living in Bonn now since 2016. I'm really interested in a lot of things, especially travelling! It's a kind of need to discover new places I've never been before and maybe to make experiences outside my daily life routine. Another, more and more important issue is our environment and the impacts our fast and consumption-based life style has: Although I know that travelling is not the best way to protect the environment, I'm trying to find and use alternatives, e.g. train instead of the plane for short distances, and to develop a zero-waste life style. One of my dreams is to join a NGO like Sea Shepherd and help to protect animals and plants or, more general, our wonderful world. Other things I like and I'm interested in are for example Archaeology, especially in Latin America, and other cultures (that's why I'm studying it;), music (I'm learning piano and guitar), other languages and sports (I had Kung Fu-lessons and try out new sport activities now; I like snowboarding, swimming, hiking and my dream is to learn diving). In general I really like to try out new things, meet new people and make new experiences!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my opinion travelling shouldn' t be expensive! Furthermore meeting individuals on foreign places like through couchsurfing is one of the best ways to learn something about this place and culture and make new friends. I would like to support this and help people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading and there are a lot of books I like. I don't really have a favourite book but I prefer adventures like pirate stories, classic literature and of course Harry Potter. It's the same with music and movies, it depends on my mood which music I listen to or which movie I watch.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are so many wonderful things and moments I had the chance to experience but one amazing thing was a trip to China with my Kung Fu group where we could stay in a huge Kung Fu school not far from the famous Shaolin Temple. We had Kung Fu training every day and one time we met the grandmaster of the Shaolin Temple Shi Yan Lu during a private tea ceremony.
Teach, Learn, Share
It would be great to share some skills like new cooking recipes, languages or DIY things. I'm open for almost everything.
