ABOUT ME
Short Description
I love learning foreign languages(mine is Portuguese) for it gives me the opportunity to discover new ideas, perspectives and cultures from people who most likely I don't share the same believes, education system or even way of living, which i'm eager to learn more about and perhaps apply some of it to my own life.. It also gives me the opportunity to present my culture, not that of my country but my own personal culture which is not firmly tied to any given territory, Yes mostly influenced by Brazilian(I dont like soccer) and American(?).My culture is unique just like everyone else has their own unique culture. Therefore I am not interested in seeing the postcards of cities, rather, I'm interested in meeting the people, one at a time.
I was raised in Volta Redonda, RJ Brazil by a single mom and 3 siblings just until I turned 14. Then moved to Danbury, CT USA to live with my Father and my step family...
When I was 11 years old I started learning programming languages, and at that time I decided I wanted to become a programmer when I grow up(never grew up). Many things happened after that I stayed away from Programming for many years, until I started going to College. I started programming once again, but not at the same intensity as when I was 11 years old. I still want to be a programmer and I am(?), but I'm right now learning discovering new things such as cooking, which I enjoy doing it for fun and for my beloved ones... I'm also learning new languages and I'm discovering things about myself that I never valued before...
PHILOSOPHY
I make many short and long term plans. But really what makes me happy is when I'm with a friend/girlfriend/parents and just talk to them or simply spend time.
***"A man needs to travel. By his own means, not by stories, images, books or TV. By his own, with his eyes and feet, to understand what he is. To someday plant his own trees and give them some value. To know the cold and to enjoy the heat. To feel the distance and lack of shelter. To be well under his own ceiling. A man needs to travel to places he doesn't know to break this arrogance that makes us see the world as we imagine it, and not simply as it is or may be. That makes us teachers and doctors of what we have never seen, when we should just be learners, and simply go see it." Amyr Klink ****

I have also treated all my guests with great care, which includes but no limited to breakfast, lunch, dinner, conversation, city tour, advices, my own bed while I sleep on the couch.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All of my couchsurfing experiences have surpassed my expectations. In every couchsurfing experience, my host really integrated me into their life, introduced me their friends and kept me company whenever possible.
Each and every single one of these hosts I've had so far, have become friends and I keep in touch with them. Same goes for my guests!
Interests
I simply love languages, I first started with programming languages. The nice thing about it, is the fact that it gives, even for a kid(I was about 10 at the time) the power to create basically anything you can imagine.
I also love to experience new things.
I love extreme sports. like snowboarding, water-skiing, scuba-diving, sky-diving, hiking...
Computer Science, Travelling, Eating, Talking, History, Languages, French.
Music, Movies, and Books
Forest Gump, Ace Ventura, The Lord of the rings.
Digital Fortress...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
almost died drowned in a lake, saved by a friend. I had accepted my death, but never lost hope and didn't freak out. The last part is important because if I had freaked out I would've swallowed water and most likely drowned.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you portuguese, english and several programming languages such as PHP.
I can teach/make you some Brazilian dishes.
I can also teach you some Capoeira.. and many other things that I've learned throughout my life but are not orderly categorized!
