One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A couple of things, one early, one more recent.
Early: kayaking among icebergs during a 6 week expedition to East Greenland when I was 17 years old, which has led onto many more expeditions.
Recent: summer 2012, being a Games Maker at London Olympics and Paralympics, medical dispatcher in Olympic Park control room, then driving straight to a week on Dragon's Back Race in Wales, doing admin, tent erecting & striking, lots of medical care, lots of driving, looking after Spanish contingent etc, alongside great group of runners, marshals & filmcrew, some I'd known for years, others met for first time. Tour Maker for Tour de France Grand Depart in Yorkshire, July 2014.

Teach, Learn, Share

The particular skills that I have that seem to be most valued by others are health / race organisation / expedition related eg staffing registration desks, checkpoints and transition areas, patching up wounds, helping very cold / wet / dehydrated people on adventure races, trail runs, un/loading vans etc.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation, stories etc.
