About Me

Artist | Civil Engineer | Climate Activist | Photographer | Traveler | Cook | Foodie

People showing kindness and compassion towards one another is what inspires me most. I believe in the human potential, that we have the capacity to love and be loved, to understand and to be understood, to care and to be cared for. I am currently conceptualizing for a book (you see, I'm an aspiring writer/author/novelsit) so I am really valuing the travel experiences that I gather because I believe that the interactions and connections I make with more and more people enhances me and my capacity to share this ideology (of loving, understanding and caring) and that someday, this may transpire to be a work of literature (or art) to influence the lives of many others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couchsurfing to meet interesting people and share with them my idea of life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Milan Kunder's works (The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Joke), Gabriel Garcia Maquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude, Gaston Leroux's Phantom of the Opera, Tales by the Grimm Brothers and Hans Christian Andersen (mostly Western Classics). But I also read novels by Filipino authors such as F. Sionil Jose (Sin, Ermita), Nick Joaquin (The Woman with Two Navels), and Andres Cristobal Cruz (Ang Tondo Man May Langit Din). I find Christopher Nolan's filmography amazing (Interstellar, The Prestige, Inception, Following, Memento) and Hayao Miyazaki's animations (Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke) and Mamoru Hosoda's Wolf Children. I prefer music that is soothing and soft to my ears, but whenever I go to the gym, I like the upbeat songs and rock songs to pump me up.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wish to teach my philosophy in living and learn others' as well. I wish to hear what people think of the mundane things in life, that's how we really get to recognize their character,
