About Me

I love life!

This quote from the movie About Time speaks to my soul well:

"We are traveling through time together, each day of our lives, all we can do is do our best to relish this remarkable ride."

My Instagram does a good job at showing off the last several years of my life along with my website!

I am an ambovert and I love joy, but I also love meloncholy because I believe it gives justice to real joy. It's that balance. It's essential in life. Hermann Hesse knows. Because of it I am very joyful and thankful for life. I Iove people, their stories, and taking pictures of them. Also family, Jesus, hope, Traveling, Reading, Writing, Thinking, Christmas, Spikeball, Settlers of Catan, Motorcycles, Backpacking, Adventure, good music, Snowboarding, playing my ukulele, swimming, French knitting, cliff jumping especially, Hyoa Miyazaki, and blessing those I encounter. I also really am thankful for my van which has been such a trooper for me and has been a great tool in a lot of my adventures and I really am thankful for my motorcycle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my greatest passions in life is stories and I have found two things. 1: stories have been a greater teacher to me than anything else in life and 2: through Couchsurfing I have heard some of the all time coolest stories, and have learned so much through them. I also love staying with a person I can have a friendship with and who can share insight into the culture they live in. I travel for the people and the culture and Couchsurfing is the greatest way to expirience that.

Interests

I love people and their stories most of all. I work as a commercial photographer as well as some photojournalism. Every person has a story and each one deserves an ear, so my mission is to write the stories of people's lives and share them with the world. I also really enjoy reading, writing, traveling, learning, melancholy movies and good music. I really love life and have been blessed far too much in it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went on a faith trip to San Francisco for 5 days, bringing NO money and NO debit/credit cards. We had no Idea where we were staying or what we were eating. God provided for us above and beyond all 5 days. It was amazing and I would recommend it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am primarily a listener. I love stories. Things I can share are adventure, passion, weirdness, spontaneity, stories of people i've met, the Love of Jesus, joy, and blessings. I really love older people because there is so much to learn from them as they have lived so much longer than I and have experienced what I have and have come out on the other side with an opinion about it!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share stories. But I also love working with my hands and helping with things. So i can totally help with odd and end jobs that need to get done. But I can also share good conversation and just enjoyable laughter. I really do enjoy simply existing with people so its not too hard to converse.
