About Me

I grew up in Amsterdam, but I'm currently living in Haarlem, both located in The Netherlands. I’m straight, but I enjoy company of all shapes and sizes. Isn’t that what Couchsurfing is all about?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm honestly just trying to make some friends while in Vancouver. I've just finished up a road trip up the west coast from San Diego to Vancouver and have some days left to spend here.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste of music is very diverse, I can enjoy pretty much anything. But i’ll list some of my favorite artists: Chance The Rapper, The Weeknd, Imagine Dragons, JCole, etc.
Some of my favorite shows and movies are: Peaky Blinders, The Blackkklansman, Upgrade, Intouchables, GoT, Westworld, Taboo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked all the way down the Grand Canyon in the blazing heat without proper preparations such as food, all in one day. Which was one of the best and worst experiences of my life. Let me explain:
You have to hike 7,5 km down into the canyon, which seems alright at first. But you're hiking down the most annoying zigzag paths you've ever seen. But I won't exaggerate, it was doable. Especially when you get to the plateau at the bottom, it was just incredible! To see it's scale from below is humbling and even more than you expect it to be. However I digress... In good spirit, we went back up. But soon we noticed that even though we predicted it would be worse than going down, it was so much worse than we could've expected. After every 2 zigzags you were out of breath, so we decided to skip some zigzags and straight up climb. which had the same effect. I'm not going to dive into all of it, but let's just say I didn't want to move for a while after completing the climb. Looking back on it, I'm glad I did it, but at the time, I was thinking of just jumping off that cliff to get away from those hellish zigzag paths. I wanted to never see a rock again.
