Música, películas y libros

I am music addict, so I like to listen to a lot of music genres (and find out new ones). But I really love to listen to folk/native music from each country/place, metal, rock and roll, blues, jazz, ska, punk, reggae, rap and the brazilian music genres: manguebeat, maracatu, samba, frevo, aboio, forró, coco, ciranda and many more.

I really enjoy reading too, but when when we talk about fiction books I am a little bit more conservative: I like the classics. Fyodor Dostoyevsky and Victor Hugo are my favorite authors. To me, they're the best in write about the human soul and society. In Brazil, Machado de Assis is my favorite fiction author.

I also enjoy chronicle books and finding out new chronists. I really appreciate poetry too, and to me poetry is really beautiful when it's in portuguese. Because of this my favourite poets are from Brazil and Portugal: Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Fernando Pessoa, Augusto dos Anjos, Zé da Luz, Louro do Pajeú, Castro Alves, Manuel Bandeira, Cora Coralina, Patativa do Assaré, Chico Buarque.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I can share knowledge about the history, politics and culture of Brazil, specially from Pernambuco.

We can talk about the local native/folk music or about the local rock/metal/alternative scene, and also about business and entrepreneurship.

I can show you some good places here, including museums, historical buildings, beaches and places to see and feel the nature and also places to taste good local beers!
