About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Adventure, excitement... I ain't no Jedi.
ABOUT ME
I work hard and play hard and I'm pretty much always down. I've lived a handful of places, and the latest (and greatest?) is Honolulu. I share a house with some awesome people, straight mauka (inland-- up the hill!) from Waikiki, in St Louis Heights. I have a job where I'm learning a few practical things and I still have time to go surfing and hiking and do everything else I love. I'm really lucky to be doing all that in Hawaii. I love it here.
I love to expand my notion of things that are possible in this world, so I love to travel for the insight it offers, and to meet people with really different lives from my own. That's why I'm on couchsurfing- so drop me a line if you want to hang out!
PHILOSOPHY
You have to learn to even imagine the possibilities. Do the work, don't get too lost, get creative and get devoted.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did some couchsurfing in Mexico, and hosted a bunch of people when I was living in Panama last year. I always had a blast. I also traveled a bit around Panama and Costa Rica with a few people I met trough CS, and I've hung out with CSers that stayed with friends in NYC and other places.

Music, Movies, and Books
Recently got Netflix to catch up~~~
Little bit of everything and a lot of reggae, acoustic, and Django/Grappelli-inspired gypsy jazz~~~
Recently finished Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts, and recently did a lot of work to learn some economic and political history. Currently reading books about Hawaii and some Indian folklore, and easing my jaded mind back into the prospect of more formal training in science and engineering.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rode a bicycle across the USA, hitchhiked around Montana, climbed an 11400 foot tropical volcano at night, climbed Rainier, snowboarded in moonlight in Colorado, did a solo bike tour on islands in British Columbia, caught a tuna from a kayak, cleansed the doors, surfed the north shore.

Bike repair, guitar and bass~~~
Better Spanish, some Japanese, and more languages altogether, better guitar, better dancing, better mountaineering, better surfing~~~
Any and all of the above, and always open to suggestions or chance encounters.
