About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Share a pint or two with some exotic and interesting individuals!
ABOUT ME
I have spent the last 10 years of my life in the Canadian military, parts of which have been spent in some of the more volatile and exotic parts of the world, so I am always up for a good adventure! I am a somewhat responsible, semi-grown up 29 year old that lives in downtown Ottawa on the ever vibrant Elgin St. with two somewhat like minded roommates, one being an old friend from elementary school, and the other being a fellow soldier, and his rather entertaining dog.
PHILOSOPHY
I have never given much thought to a personal philosophy, sounds too much like a plan, and plans take all the fun out of life. I prefer to just see where life takes me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy hosting people as awesome and entertaining as myself. So far I've had a blast hanging out with people from all over the world. I've learned a lot about other cultures, and sampled some fantastic foreign cuisine in the process! In return, I can offer some helpful hints on how to make the most out of your visit to our glorious nation's capital. Also, my house is located on a busy, pub-filled street downtown, and is often filled with many of my regimental brethren, so a fun night out on the town is regularly on the menu!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I haven't officially couch surfed anywhere myself yet. I've traveled plenty in my time, but always preferred the convenience (and the potential for an interesting story) of finding a sleazy hostel last minute. That also means I've spent my fair share of nights sleeping on a bench in a train station. You also meet interesting people when you're playing "homeless man" on a train station floor for a night (but that's a tale for another time)
Interests
Besides the glorious process of fermentation and the nectar it leaves behind, I also have a penchant for travel, adventure, and all things heavy metal music.

- walking

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies, anything that can make me laugh, or that showcases a solid car chase and some damn fine explosion.
Books, my tastes vary, but in one month I read Miley Cyrus's autobiography written at age 15, and the entire Divine Comedy. I found great enjoyment trying to ascertain which circle of hell I will eventually end up in!
Music, I can listen to pretty much everything, minus rap and whatever noise the likes of Skrillex make, but I love me some metal! One of my favourite past times is to sit back around the campfire (will also accept hobo garbage can fire) and throw back some beers with buddies while listening to some loud and angry, yet soothing, music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made a really great sandwich the other day! Apparently I am easily pleased.
