About Me
You can learn a lot about me and my work from my web page: https://www.gallaudet.edu/hprs/faculty---staff/history-philosophy-religion-and-sociology/history/brune-jeff.html
I'm a fun and thoughtful history professor. I've done lots of travel and prefer going to Latin America, Asia, and Africa because I learn the most when I'm in a place that is unfamiliar with beliefs and assumptions that are different than my own. I also am trilingual (English, Spanish, American Sign Language).
My last great trip was to Ghana and soon I'll be headed to Myanmar. Also had a recent trip to Colombia that was great. I'm also progressive and politically engaged.
My place is a very nice renovated rowhouse that is walking distance to Metro (Eastern Market), H Street, Eastern Market, the Capitol, Library of Congress, Supreme Court, National Mall. Wonderful historic neighborhood.
I share my house with a wonderful well trained border collie named Levitas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Published one book and now working on another.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you new ways of looking at disability, using the social model instead of the medical model. Ask me about it if you care to learn. I also use American Sign Language for my teaching and can share some of that with you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
In addition to what is above, I am a very considerate guest. I pay attention to house rules, respect boundaries, and take very good care of things. As a history professor I also have a lot of knowledge to share but also understand when people are busy and when to stay out of the way.
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Colombia, Czech Republic, Ghana, Italy, Mexico, Myanmar, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
Mexico, United States
