Jazz, "spiritual" movies always get me (e.g. Whale Rider, Brother Son Sister Moon), an awesome book I read recently is "The tangled tree" by by David Quammen on how horizontal gene transfer makes many organisms into partly other organisms. For example, I think the book said that 8% of our DNA comes from viruses.
