Overview
About Me
I'm happiest when I'm traveling. I love meeting new people, learning how they view the world, and what they do for fun.
Unfortunately I can't host anyone currently as I'm out of the country.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When your traveling, life slows down. It's a great reminder that you have control of your destination and your mood. CS is a great way for you to link up with other open minded people that want to share their lifestyle and country with you and vice versa.
It's also a less expensive way to travel which means you can spend more time exploring new places and soaking up the experience.
Interests
Traveling (obviously), getting outdoors, camping, hiking, swimming, cooking, drinking with good company and learning about how others live and see the world - it's the best way to grow.
I love eating almost any new type of food - I'm very open minded and I love to eat traditional foods from other countries os well as more exotic foods.

Music, Movies, and Books
I grew up watching a lot of movies with my dad and older brother, so I like different movies - ones that make you think or ones that kill the good guy in the end. I'm pretty bored with action/CGI movies unless they're really good.
So here's a random list: Into the wild, 127 hours, Trainspotting, Fight club, Snatch, Goodfellas, Branson, Being John Malkovich, Django Unchained, American Psycho, Old Boy
Comedy: Kingpin, How the West was Won, Wet Hot American Summer (newer series on Netflix)
Stand up Comedy: Bo Burnham
TV:
Comedy: Upright Citizens Brigade, Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job, Mr. Show, Archer, Metalocalypse
Drama: Vikings, Justified, True Detective
Books: recently I read The Alchemist and Vagabonding.
I have a TShirt business so I've read a lot of entrepeneurial books lately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Picked up and went to Costa Rica for the first time with only 48 hours notice. Didn't start researching where I wanted to go first until about 30 mins before getting off the plane.
Made a bon fire and then buried a 7 lb leg of lamb in the sand and cooked it Hawaiian luau style.
Teach, Learn, Share
I leaned to make sushi from a young age and taught sushi classes for awhile as a side business.
In general, I love to teach others. I've always gravitated towards being a trainer in my past jobs.
I can teach others how to cook various foods, swim, ride a motorcycle, speak some English. Basically anything I can do I'm happy to teach others.
