I'm a husband, father, photographer, and business owner. I love to travel and see new places, I love meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. I love life and see it as a great journey and adventure. My personal goal is to get as much of out of the journey as possible. To see as many places as I can see, to experience as much as I can of the world. When I was 9 I lived in a little town of a few hundred people and my family regularly volunteered at the local library. One day an elderly couple brought in their collection of National Geographic Magazines which included issues going back into the 1920's. The Library didn't have room for all of them so they asked if we wanted them. We took them and put them all in the bedroom with me and my two brothers. I spent hours pouring over them and for the first time my eyes were opened to how big the world is and how much there is out there to take in. My passion has become to experience everything I can on this amazing planet we call home. I'm addicted to anything that makes my eyes big and my emotions surge. Art, watching a breathtaking sunset, music, the amazing complexity of language and communication, standing in medieval castles and cathedrals, swimming in the surf of the ocean. I love everything that fills my heart with wonder and amazement.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first joined here because I am going to Italy to photograph a good friends wedding and she highly recommended the couchsurfing community to me. I like it because it's an economic solution to lodging needs and it's also a great way to experience other place and cultures in a much more personal way. It's a great way to meet new people, make new friends, and share adventures with people from all over the world.

For movies and books I like amazing true stories. Stories like Kon Tiki, or the Mutiny on the Bounty.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watched the sun set over Paris from the top of the Eiffel Tower. In 2003 I spent 6 weeks in northern France with my sister and two friends and one day when we were visiting Paris we were in the Eiffel Tower for sunset and it was one of the most magical things I have ever experienced.
