About Me

FYI I am currently on a round-the-world trip until May 2018. So I'm sorry I cannot host!

I'm an outdoor anything junkie who who enjoys every second of the great open spaces here in Arizona, USA.
I don't like to sit still. I am always in search of a new experience, good or bad. I have a great career managing the design and construction of fiber optics and cellular sites, and I've been at my current job in the utility industry for 13 years. However my career success is really just a means to fund my wanderlust and need for constant hobbies/projects. Above all, I strive for good life balance.

A few things I enjoy, as random as they all seem when listed together, LOL.
- Photography, especially while traveling/adventuring
- Anything NEW and different!!
- Rebuilding old motorcycles
- Adventure / Dualsport motorcycle riding. I have a KLR650 nicknamed "The Mule" that I often use to disappear into the wilderness whenever possible.
- Any sort of project where I get to fix / create
- Running / Triathlon (Although not as much as I used to)
- Yoga
- Art (Can you recommend a great local art spot or gallery? Museum?)

As a traveler if I wind up in your home, you will find me to be laid-back, courteous and respectful. I respect personal space and alone time, and I am perfectly capable of entertaining myself. However, given the opportunity I would love to sit and chat or go out in your area. I am also incredibly handy, and I'm able to fix almost anything. I'd be happy to help out to earn my keep! Also, have camera. Will take photos ;)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

RTW Trip 2017-2018 !!!!!!!!

The biggest news in my life recently is that I was granted an 8-month sabbatical at my job, which is enabling me to embark on my first true round-the-world trip. Between September 18, 2017 and May 4, 2018, I will be traveling across the globe, soaking up the amazing cultures and sights, but most importantly hoping to meet fellow travelers. In my experience, Coachsurfing is an amazing tool to meet like-minded people. I also find that it's nice to experience towns and cities from the perspective of a local, vs. being cooped up in a tourist hotel.

My experience hosting fellow couchsurfers has truly opened my mind even further. I have met some of the most interesting, inspiring people through couchsurfing. I think it is an amazing community, and I would love to continue to connect.
