ABOUT ME

Born in Canada and then moved to NYC. My family lived on the road for many time periods as well. Lived in Holland for a few years as a teen, and I now have lived in Gdansk,Poland for many years, working as an investor and having it be a home-base to return from my ongoing travels.
I grew up in an alternative environment growing up, so some people that I know are surprised that I am now part of the "system" to some degree, doing business and such. I don't see anything wrong in using my mind to make things happen, and since I love organizing and running systems, running my own business was a natural step for me :)

But I still have respect for things and don't waste things unless I need to. (Staying close to my family's hippie roots)
I played chess with all my heart and soul as a kid and also have had a good time transferring those gaming skills to the poker table.(math, psychology, timing, etc.) I play at a semi-pro level and have had the chance to meet a lot of great people and have an excuse to travel all over the place while playing on the poker tour :)
Away from games I find the great seaside town Gdansk, Poland to be a great place for relaxing. I love to host and show people this great city so if I am in town and not off somewhere then please contact me!

And yes of course like everyone on this site, travel travel travel! Love it, can't get enough! I finally went to Australia-N.Z and Fiji, so happy about that.

I have also been with hospitalityclub.org for over 6 years, and had many great experiences as a host and guest. (Username: afishinsea) But couchsurfing is a lot more modern these days than HC.....

I have survived a few very serious car crashes as a little kid, each time unlucky situations, could have easily been dead in any of them, but amazingly no serious damage.....so the rest of my life is now a bonus, I don't feel like complaining after my good fortune :)
