About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've been trying to overcome my fears lately.

ABOUT ME

My mind fills its spare time coming up with ideas. Most of them are a bit harebrained, but I try to keep track of them all. Sometimes thoughts come up more than once. Those thoughts manifest through photography and radio, mostly.

I live to learn, and love to live.

PHILOSOPHY

It's important to be curious when approaching the things that bother us.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a really amazing cat growing up. He was self conscious about his name, "Peaches." You see, he didn't grow up in a town that was accepting of anything even a touch flamboyant. Despite his insecurities, Peaches and I were best of friends and we have the same birthday. It wasn't unusual for Peaches to leave for a vacation for upwards of three days, even in the winter, coming home with scabs on his ears and silent stories. He lived with me until just before I graduated high school, and he left when he needed to. His hips were giving out, but until the day he died, he climbed the ladder to sleep on the pink insulation in the loft of the tool shed. He was the best cat, surviving 18 years of coyotes, dogs and hawks, teaching me a lot that I needed to learn.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about food and its distribution in America
I can also teach basic bike maintenance and repairs
I love to teach photography
I also love teaching journalism
I have an uncanny talent with anything electronic or technical (though I don't know where that came from)

I want to become a better cook
I also want to become a better seamstress (seamster?)
I want to keep learning throughout my whole life.
I want to learn how to ask better questions.
