About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life.

ABOUT ME

I work at Tulane University as the Associate Director of Facilities for the student center on campus. It's an interesting job; no day is ever the same as the last. I also get to work with students on a daily basis, which I enjoy. I am a HUGE sports fan, so many of my travels will involve stops along the way to enjoy sporting events.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that if you treat people well, the favor will be returned. I try to live my life that way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've given a couple of rides to surfers before, but haven't hosted yet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've not actually surfed yet, but I did meet up with a couple while visiting Boston a few years ago and enjoyed meeting locals.

Interests

I enjoy sports, beer, music, technology, movies, and reading. When traveling, I like to eat at local spots and try as many new craft beers as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I prefer electronica and indie music, but can also enjoy jazz, bluegrass, rap, and rock. I'm not a big fan of country music. Bands I've been listening to lately are Metronomy, Washed Out, Toro Y Moi, Holy Ghost!, Neon Indian, and Machinedrum.I enjoy many types of movies. Most recently, I've watched Moneyball, Ides of March, and 30 Minutes or Less.I prefer non-fiction when I read. Recently, I've read Malcolm Gladwell's 'Outliers' as well as 'Blink'. I've just finished 'Connected: How Your Friends' Friends' Friends Affect Everything You Feel, Think, and Do' by James Fowler and Nicholas Christakis. I just began reading 'The God Delusion' by Richard Dawkins.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure what to put here just yet... I'm sure I'll think of something :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a Finance degree and an MBA. I'd be happy to pass along anything I've learned over the years while I travel or while hosting. I also know a good bit about computer software and hardware, as well as social media.
