About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experience as much as possible in the time I have left on this earth.

ABOUT ME

Just finished an 8 year double doctorate program recently (MD/PhD) with a PhD in biomedical engineering, and am starting residency in ophthalmology (eye surgery) in Chicago.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, so it's important to make the most of it.

Never stop being open minded to new ideas and new people.

Continuing to learn is one of the most valuable endeavors one can ever pursue.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to use Couchsurfing to learn about other cultures, to learn and to teach.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far it has been awesome. I've gotten to ride a boat off the Miami coast, stayed with an amazing host and family in Bogota, and even sang and played guitar on a bus with another Couchsurfing friend. Another host made us the world's most incredible food from the Brazilian Amazon and told us his stories of having a pet taper/swimming in string ray infested rivers as a child.

I look forward to meeting more great people.

Interests

Improv, playing music (guitar, piano, singing), salsa, swing dance, partying, wrestling, working out, socializing

Music, Movies, and Books

Will listen to anything. Addicted to self-help everything.

I love playing music. I play guitar, piano, and sing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience I have ever had is do musical improv in front of a crowd of 2000 people. It was the most terrifying and most rewarding memory I have.

Also, near the top of the list is paragliding over the Swiss Alps. There is nothing but straps and a parachute holding you a kilometer over the ground. It is incredible.

Teach, Learn, Share

Also, if you want to learn anything about folk-style wrestling, I have been doing it for 8 years.

I know how to salsa and swing dance, and have been doing improv comedy for a while now. If you care to learn about either of those I can help :)

Other random knowledge that might be useful: medical devices and bioengineering, how to succeed in getting ready for medical school, how to study effectively for the MCAT

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can practice Spanish or Portuguese, I can teach you how to do improv comedy/singing, how to dance salsa or swing, or tell you crazy travel stories.
