ABOUT ME

My name is Mikki Sulanchupakorn and this is my boyfriend Jeffory McDaniel. We are both 30 and still students. Don’t make fun of us, we just love learning. I am working toward my Masters in Urban Planning and Transportation Engineering, and he is an aspiring Arborist. We are avid bicyclists, environmentalists, transcendentalists, and haters of the dentist.

PHILOSOPHY

Jeff: Much of life is pain and suffering, and knowledge of that makes us responsible to help ease the pain and suffering of all living things. Don’t forget to laugh.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Jeffory is an event coordinator and sound technician for a local venue. He has always had an open door policy and has hosted dozens of guests over the past 10 years. We are all building these memories, and in the long run, we aim to count on them like precious gems. Its all about instantly liking someone, exchanging culture, sharing stories, and laughing.

Mikki has been tatami-mat surfing in Japan, tushuk-surfing in Kyrgyzstan, and couch surfing throughout the U.S. along her post-graduation friendship diaspora.

Jeff: Playing music/dancing, painting/drawing/writing; hiking/camping/nature/ bicycling/ preparing for disasters and other forms of survival; sustainability (as of late, Magnetic Energy & BioChar), getting my hands dirty, and recycled carpentry.

Jeff: Gosh, I love me some movies… so I’ll say I DON’T like horror movies and leave everything else open for liking. Books: I’m a fan of Joseph Campbell, Carlos Castaneda, I’m not usually into fiction but (for some reason) I really liked “Lonesome Dove”. I am currently enjoying “The Biochar Solution” by Albert Bates. As for music, well music has been my life. I can appreciate most music, though I don’t have a stomach for Contemporary American Country music. Perhaps it would be better live. I thoroughly enjoy live music over the radio.
