About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

A curious one, interested in many things, natural wonders, musical and literary journeys, existential questions and answers. Sometimes I take trips; sometimes I work with wine.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmm...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hostin' and boastin'. I love to travel and love to Couchsurf when I do. If conditions are right at home, having travelers come through and make life more interesting is an absolute treat.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosted a few wanderers at an old house in San Francisco many years ago, when a roommate set up a couchsurfing account.
Then again on my own in Jackson, WY. Then again in Portland, OR. Then again in New York City.
I've surfed couches from Paris, France to Twin Falls, ID.

Interests

Music. I play guitar and piano, and love all music, especially blues, and rock, and folk, and classical, and soul, and everything else.

Literature. I read a lot of books, novels, short stories, poetry, you name it.

Film. I've seen lots of movies! Particularly the classics and tons of old American films, good and not so good.

Also...snowboarding, backpacking, road biking, paddling, caving, running.

Also Travel. Did I mention travel. Also travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

So many. Too many. Love to talk about how many.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lago Buenos Aires at sunrise. That apple orchard hill in Prague. Vienna. Wyoming.

Teach, Learn, Share

Sew an inside pocket on your pants instead of using a money-belt. It's less dorky and it'll remind you, when far away from home, of your mother's (or roommate's, girlfriend's, cousin's, ?...) sewing skills. Also if you get stopped at an unforeseen checkpoint the taking down of the pants in public will never cease to be a memorable story.

What I Can Share with Hosts

All this...and so much more.

Countries I’ve Visited

Anguilla, Argentina, Austria, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin (French part), Sint Maarten (Dutch part), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Uruguay

Countries I’ve Lived In
