Overview
About Me
I am a corps member with Teach For America in the Mississippi Delta. I have been teaching high school science for almost two years now, after having graduated Pepperdine University with a bachelor's degree in biology in 2014. I love traveling and exploring different parts of the country and world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have had some experience traveling abroad, as I spent one semester of college in Heidelberg, Germany. While I was there, I was fortunate to be able to travel and visit various other countries as well and become exposed to a variety of cultures. I am couchsurfing so that I can continue to meet fascinating people and interesting places (both domestic and abroad) in an affordable way.
Interests
I love to read. I like cooking (blue apron!), skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping. I like to be outdoors. I am interested in living a more sustainable life and possibly deepening my career through the lens of sustainable development--a framework for economic development that also considers social inclusion and environmental justice equally important to economic growth.
