About Me

Hello fellow surfers and hosts,

I am generally a creative and thoughtful person who loves the outdoors, being active and investing quality time with my friends. I have been living in Swansea since my student days back in 2008 and am now a recruiter for locum doctors based in a private company locally. I enjoy Swansea for its natural scenery, diverse activities and a close knit community that often serves the needs of those who are lowly in life. If you are visiting or passing by, I am more than willing to introduce to you things that you can do here during your stay.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was introduced to register with the official network having hosted a couch surfer and also doing some couch surfing a few years ago on a solo summer trip to Southern Ukraine. I have come to appreciate the gratefulness of being received into a home and not having to be anxious about where to stay on trips abroad or local, and I find it a great way to connect with people.

Interests

I love being active, so I'm into sports such as squash, football, cycling and running. I also have many creative hobbies such as art making, illustration design and model making. I like to spend my down time reading, and I also love to drive. A high octane petrol head since young, no doubt.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like contemporary Jazz, the live performance kind. I watch a range of different movies and tend to wait till the reviews come out before deciding whether I want to watch them or not!

Books wise, I like reading novels, biopics, informative books on my favoured subjects, and being a Christian I am shaped by the teachings of the Bible everyday. Ask me about my faith. I don't bite ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not so much a highlight but packing and sending shoe boxes full of toys and kids equipment to children in poorer countries every Christmas makes me appreciate what a profound impact these gifts have on them.

Countries I’ve Visited

China, France, Germany, Guam, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Portugal, Singapore, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States
